Curaçao International Airport

Flights to Curaçao

Curaçao International Airport (CUR) offers direct connections to numerous destinations in Europe, North America, South America and the Caribbean. The island is easily reached via direct flights or convenient transfers through major international hubs.

Immigration and Visa

Most participants will not require a visa to enter Curaçao. However, entry requirements vary by nationality. We recommend checking the official immigration requirements well in advance of your trip at curacao.com.
All visitors are required to complete the Digital Immigration Card (DI Card) before arrival.

Taxi or Airport Shuttle

The conference venue is approximately 15 minutes' drive from Curaçao International Airport (CUR). Taxi services are available upon arrival, or install the app to pre-book: 24/7 Taxi Curaçao. Some hotels offer an airport shuttle service.

Accommodation

The conference will take place at the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Willemstad. Participants can choose from more than 60 hotels and apartments within walking distance, ranging from budget-friendly accommodation to luxury resorts. Special conference rates will be announced in due course.

Climate

June offers warm tropical weather with average daytime temperatures around 30°C (86°F). Conference venues are air-conditioned, while outdoor social activities are generally held during the cooler parts of the day. Light clothing is recommended, together with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat for excursions.

Getting Around

The conference venue is located in the heart of Willemstad. Most hotels, restaurants, museums and attractions in the city centre are within walking distance. Taxis are readily available, and transportation will be arranged for conference excursions where required. A rental car is not necessary for attending the conference. However, participants wishing to explore the island before or after the conference may find renting a car a convenient option — several international and local rental companies operate from Curaçao International Airport and throughout the island.

Currency

The official currency is the Caribbean Guilder (XCG). US Dollars are widely accepted, and major credit and debit cards can be used in most hotels, restaurants and shops. ATMs are conveniently located near the conference venue and throughout the island.

Health & Safety

Curaçao is regarded as one of the safer destinations in the Caribbean and offers modern healthcare facilities. Emergency services, pharmacies and medical centres are easily accessible. As with any international destination, visitors are encouraged to take normal travel precautions.

Restaurants

The conference venue is surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants, cafés and waterfront terraces. Visitors can enjoy local Caribbean cuisine alongside international dining options, all within walking distance of the conference venue.
